When you sign up we collect your first and last name, email, phone number and home address, and assign you a customer number. We also record your bids, Buy Now claims and basic usage data needed to run the site.
How we use it
We use your information to verify bidders, run auctions, contact winners, arrange pickup and payment, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
Who can see it
Your personal details are visible only to you and to EG Liquidation administrators. Other bidders see only a short alias (your first initial and part of your customer number) next to your bids.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site (such as sign-in and database providers), with payment processors when needed, and with law enforcement when required by law.
Messages and alerts
We may contact you by email, phone or text about auctions you bid on, items you win or claim through Buy Now, and pickup deadlines. You can ask us in store to stop non-essential messages at any time.
Children's privacy
The site is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
Security
Data is stored with access controls that restrict each customer to their own record. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Retention and your rights
We keep your information while your account is active and as required for tax and record-keeping. You can view and update your details on your profile page, and you may ask us in store to delete your account.
Cookies
We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
